It is with deep sorrow that we report the passing of Board Member, Patricia E. Pas, R.M.A. on Sept. 1, 2007. She and her family resided in West Springfield, MA until she and her husband, Ed, retired to "the Cape" (E. Falmouth, MA).

Pat was as graduate of Springfield Technical Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Medical Assisting. Upon graduation, she was employed for many years, first at Baystate Medical Center Emergency Room, then at the offices of local physicians as office manager and medical assistant. Being an advocate of volunteerism, she participated in many areas both clinical and athletic at each end of the state.

She became an ARMA member in 1988 and was then appointed to the Board of Directors in 1993 and was a loyal and dedicated Board member until her illness prevented her traveling the long distance to meetings. Pat was elected Board Recording Secretary and performed her duties diligently and efficiently over the years.

Besides her husband of 39 years, Pat leaves a son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, 4 sisters, a brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many close friends and her associates and members of the ARMA Board who will miss her advice, devotion and presence over the years. A contribution in her memory has been made to the charity of her choice.
