02/23/07Because of the extremely large numbers of renewal forms which had to be returned due to incomplete information and/or no ceu documentation provided, we have implemented a $5.00 surcharge for those who send in their renewal form or reinstatement form without the required data and CEU documentation.
Also, for those members who are obtaining ceus in 2007, to renew for 2007 - you will not be able to use the same cues to renew for 2008. This will be unacceptable. Please remember this when you renew for 2008!
CEUs are now provided in all editions of the "Registry Connection" and available online through the ARMA website. Once on the ARMA website, please make sure to click the refresh button on each page visited to get updated information.
As of March 1, 2007, ARMA will be offering a "CEU PACKAGE" to all members for an annual fee of $10.00. This package will cover the processing of your CEUs and certificates awarded. This pertains to the on-line topics and the topics included in the "Registry Connections". The advantage of this offer will cover ARMA members' CEUs for one year. Call ARMA to order this service. (This fee is tax deductible, along with your annual membership fee. (See your accountant or tax advisor for more information). Non-members may also take advantage of this service on-line for an annual fee of $35.00 per year.
ARMA members and non-members may also take advantage of this service without ordering the "CEU PACKAGE". You may submit a self-assessment quiz for a nominal fee of $3.00 per topic. This is a non-refundable fee. Until such time as we become "on-line secure" for the processing of credit card information, you may either pay by check or money order if submitting your self-assessment quiz by mail, or call ARMA with credit card information when you submit your self-assessment quiz on-line.
The passing grade for each self-assessment quiz taken is 70% and above. Members and non-members will receive a certificate of completion within 2-3 weeks of processing a mailed in self-assessment quiz. If you fail a self-assessment quiz, which was mailed in, you will not receive a certificate of completion. Contact ARMA, preferably through our website, to inquire of your ceu status if you have not received a certificate of completion after 1 month of submission. Self-assessment quizzes, which were submitted on-line, will be notified within 24 hours.
With renewal for the year 2008, the CEU requirement will now be 12 per year. If you are submitting earned CEUs from another source, these are to be either 12 in the clinical/medical content or 6 in the clinical/medical content and 6 in the clerical, administrative, front office or other content. We will accept Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS, CPR and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens as "other".
If you are submitting documentation from another source, the Official documentation submitted should indicate acceptable CEU content, points and/or contact hours, and date taken. We will not accept on-line or self-study cpr/first aid courses.
Each time you renew your annual membership, you will be submitting the previous year's documentation of CEUs.
When you renew for 2007, or reinstate your membership which has lapsed, you will be submitting CEUs acquired in 2006. When you renew for 2008, you will be submitting CEUs acquired in 2007, and so forth. If you have any questions, contact ARMA Headquarters through this website.
