Which states require license for Medical Assistants? We understand that its either Registered or Certified . But what about Licensed MA?
Which states require a Licensed Medical Assistant?

9/11/2011 10:04:32 AM | No state requires registation or certification to work as a medical assistant. Hhowever, a particular employer may require one or the other. Whether it is called registered or certified depends on the organization that sponsers the test and issues a document of completion. None of these organizations are backed by the state. They are independent groups. |

I do electrocardiogram, I do medical insurance check and take vital signs. I'm Working for Dr. Francis G. Abreu. |

10/8/2011 7:33:33 PM | Certified medical assistants go to school and complete their course, they do not need to take a state board licensure exam. As stated above, some medical assistant jobs do request for proof, so keep your course completion certificates when applying for jobs. Best of luck! |
